The Crew: Technical Theater Training
A three-week, full day camp where students can discover and explore the wonderful world of theatre. Camp will culminate in a musical production, where each student will have an important part to play.
The Shine! Youth Ensemble (YES!)
A process driven program, where students will delve into all aspects of theatre arts. This includes a multifaceted approach to the artistry of acting, voice and movement. This challenging approach to the craft is for advance students only and will culminate with a final production. YES! meets once a week and asks that the student commit to the full semester. (Students aged 8 to 17yo) All students accepted on full scholarship, therefore NO FEE will be charged.
The Artist Workshop
An eight week intensive combining learned in-class techniques with a rehearsal and performance process. Individuals selected to participate in our workshops will appear on stage in a mainstage show. Students will audition for our panel of adjudicators for acceptance into the workshop program. Upon acceptance, the students will be immersed in a two week conservatory focusing on enhancing their acting, singing and dancing skills. Final casting will then be announced. Weeks three through six will find the students engaged in rehearsals with adult professional actors. The final two weeks of the workshop is dedicated to the actual performance: the culmination of the students' training up to that point. With our focus always on our students growing as creative beings (and not being a "star"), this program offers the finest in arts education. Our motto is simple: process over product.
